Privacy
PocketOS is designed to keep your home to yourself. There’s no account, no cloud service and no analytics.
On the PocketOS Device
- Stored only on PocketOS: your Wi-Fi name and password, Home Assistant address and token, devices, names and settings.
- Sent only to your Home Assistant: the commands you give, and your voice when you hold the Boot button. Voice is handled by the assistant you set up in Home Assistant, and spoken replies are fetched from it too.
- Update checks: once a day, PocketOS downloads a small file from GitHub to see if there’s a new version. It sends nothing about you or your home. Like any website, GitHub can see the internet address the request comes from. You can turn update checks off under More → Updates.
- Nothing else: PocketOS has no microphone wake word, sends no usage data and has no advertising.
This website
- No cookies, analytics or tracking.
- The website is hosted by Vercel, which keeps standard server logs, including visitors’ internet addresses.
- Try PocketOS runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you do there is sent anywhere.
Buying PocketOS
- When you order, we use your name, delivery address, email address and order details to process and deliver your order, handle returns and warranty claims, and keep the records the law requires.
- We don’t sell your details or use them for advertising.
- Before PocketOS goes on sale, this section will name the companies that handle payment and delivery for us, and how long we keep order records.
Contacting us
- When you use the contact form, your name, email address and message are sent to us as an email, through our website host (Vercel) and our email provider (Apple iCloud Mail).
- We use them only to reply to you. The website doesn’t keep a copy.
